What material is the base? The base is made from heavy cast iron, which adds to the stability of the blender during operation. The base also features handy suction cups, further adding to the stability of the blender. Can this blender process hot ingredients? The standard copolyester jug is not suitable for hot preparations. If you plan to blend hot ingredients, the BB255K can be fitted with a stainless steel jar (HC181) which is perfect for safely blending hot soups and sauces. Where are Waring blenders made?
